Last week, the children in Swans and Kingfishers took part in UK Parliament Week, exploring how democracy works and why it matters. They engaged in a range of classroom activities designed to help them understand the role of Parliament and the importance of having a voice.

The week concluded with a special visit from our local MP, Brian Mathew, on Friday. The children impressed us with their thoughtful and challenging questions, which included topics such as:

Parking charges for patients at the RUH in Bath
The use of AI in primary schools
Whether Semington will ever have a railway station

It was wonderful to see their curiosity and confidence in action, and we are proud of the way they represented our school as informed and engaged citizens!
