St George's Church of England School, Semington is celebrating an outstanding achievement as this year’s Year 6 cohort achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate in Reading, Writing and Maths – a result that far surpasses national figures.

According to the Department for Education, the national average shows just 62% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined. Individually, the figures stand at 75% for Reading, 74% for Maths and 72% for Writing. Against this backdrop, St George’s 100% result in every subject is an extraordinary accomplishment.

Headteacher Emma Hembury said:

“We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils. This result reflects their hard work, determination and resilience, as well as the tireless commitment and dedication of our teaching team. To achieve 100% across Reading, Writing and Maths is something truly special and is a credit to the whole school community.”
