Welcome to St George's School

Mrs Emma Hembury: Principal, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

Welcome to our school – St. George’s C of E Primary in Semington.

We are a small rural school with 3 mixed aged classes on the outskirts of Melksham. We have the most beautiful spacious grounds that include a wildlife area and timber trail.

We do hope you enjoy learning more about our school while exploring our website.

St George’s is a school where we support each other to courageously flourish, within our community, armed with our shield of Christian values. This is based on Ephesians 4:32:

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you."

We have recently started to collaborate with two other local rural school’s in order to benefit each of the school’s teaching and learning successes. The vision for this 3-school fellowship is based on the following foundation and principles:

We have a skilled team of staff across each of the schools whose primary aim is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all the children in our care. It is our responsibility to provide them with exciting and stimulating learning experiences that will motivate and challenge them to achieve their very best.

Visits to the school are always welcome. To arrange a visit, please give us a call on 01380 870243.
